Patricia “Pat” Alice Kmecheck, Gillett, 72, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls.

She was born in New London on June 28, 1945, a daughter of the late Lester D. Prahl and Margaret (Gough). Pat was married to John D. Kmecheck on Nov. 16, 1968, and together they raised four children. Pat was “mom” to many of her children’s friends over the years and had also worked as a beautician and later as a manager of several gas stations in the Sheboygan Falls area.

Pat loved nature and watching wildlife out her window, she was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, and also enjoyed sewing, canning and rummage sales. She will be sadly missed.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of over 49 years, John; her children, Katherine Randall, of De Pere, Kimberly (Jeff) Hanke, of Plymouth, John P. Kmecheck, of Sheboygan, and Kandi (Keith) Bagley, of Waldo. She also leaves her siblings John Prahl, Leonard “Butch” Blank, Milton “Mike” (Barb) Blank, Art (Debbie) Blank, Tommy Blank, Irene (the late Dwayne) Pingel, Helen (Robert) Dessort and Susie (Rick) Babcock. Pat is further survived by her grandchildren, Keith “KC,” Tyler, Wyatt, Anabelle and Hayden; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many, many friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Blank.

Friends and relatives may call on the family on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 4-7 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Chapels, 108 E. Main St., Gillett. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
