Update
Charges were filed and bond was set Friday for the driver and passenger of a pickup truck that crossed the median on a four-lane highway Sept. 11 and crashed head-on into another vehicle, killing an Oconto Falls man.

Friends and family Saturday paid their last respects to Cory R. Folts, 22, in a memorial service at Green Bay Community Church. He was the son of Jeffrey J. and Tracy R. (Kozlowski) Folts and grew up in Little Suamico.

Folts was driving north in his 2000 Volkswagen Golf on U.S. 41-141 near Geano Beach Road in the town of Abrams at about 8:40 p.m. Sept. 11 when the southbound 2007 Nissan Frontier pickup truck left the roadway, traveled through the median and crashed into him.

Kelly Nicole Crispin, 26, of St. Paul, Minnesota, was taken into custody after she and her passenger, Eric Soloman, 31, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, were treated and released from an area hospital. Soloman was also being held on out-of-state warrants, and a criminal complaint said the crash was caused by his grabbing the steering wheel during an argument.

Soloman is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, second-degree reckless homicide, hit and run involving death, first-degree reckless endangerment, and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer. Crispin is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and second-degree reckless homicide.

Judge Michael T. Judge set bail at $250,000 cash for Soloman and $100,000 cash for Crispin. Both are due back in court on Oct. 11.

The sheriff’s department and Wisconsin State Patrol were still investigating the crash, which closed the northbound lanes for about five hours. Abrams Fire, Little Suamico Fire, and County Rescue also helped at the scene.
